The young opening batsman for the Indian team, Prithvi Shaw, who has been trying to make a comeback to the team for a long time, will now be seen playing in the County Championship. Prithvi Shaw will make his county cricket debut on August 4 for the Northhamshire side, in which he will be seen playing in the Royal London One-Day Tournament.

Northamptshire County Cricket Club (NCCC) Chief Executive Ray Payne gave information on Prithvi Shaw’s arrival in England through his statement, he said in his statement issued by the club that I am very happy to report that Prithvi Shaw has arrived to the UK and will be seen. playing in our ODI tournament which will take place on the 4th of August.

Prithvi Shaw has already received a no objection certificate from the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI). For this reason, he was not seen playing in the ongoing Deodhar Trophy. Previously, Shaw had definitely played in the Duleep Trophy, but there was no special bat performance seen from him in that.

Prithvi Shaw is the fourth Indian player to take part in the 2022-23 county cricket season. Prior to this, Cheteshwar Pujara played for Sussex, Navdeep Saini for Worcestershire, Arshdeep Singh for Kent. Shaw started his international career in a great way. But after this he has only played 4 Tests, 6 ODIs and 1 T20 match so far. Ajinkya Rahane was also supposed to play for the Leicestershire county team in the upcoming Royal London One Day Tournament, but he decided to take a break from cricket for a while.
