Prices of all fuels will remain the same for this week

For the week of June 11 to 18, all fuels will maintain the same price as the previous week, as ordered this Friday by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MIC).

Premium gasoline will continue to cost RD$293.60; the regular RD$274.50; the optimal gasoil RD$241.10; and the regular 221.60.

The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) RD$147.60 also remains the same; avtur and kerosene, whose cost will be RD$298.91 and RD$338.10.

Fuel oil will cost RD$192.11; fuel oil 1% RD$211.77 and natural gas RD$28.97.

Regarding prices, the Dominican Government reported that for this week it has allocated 1,765 million pesos to keep them unchanged.

Likewise, the Vice Minister of Internal Trade, Ramón Pérez Fermín, explained that the international price of WTI averaged US$119.47, for a slight increase of 0.3% in relation to the average of the previous week.

“This gives us an accumulated increase of 50.4% for the year, reaching a price of 130.50 a barrel of oil, numbers not seen since 2008, when the highest prices in the history of crude oil were recorded,” he said.

He also assured that with this extraordinary subsidy it is avoided to apply the mandatory increases of 7.24 for LPG, 96 pesos for Premium Gasoline, 103 for Regular; and 124 for Regular Diesel and Premium.
