President Abinader delivers five sports centers and other facilities in Duarte and Sánchez Ramírez

President Luis Abinader also delivered this Saturday in the provinces of Duarte and Sánchez Ramírez five sports centers, a multi-use center and 17 fields in support of young people from all over the country.

The first of these works to be delivered was the Arenoso sports center and play area, in Duarte, with which the revamped Pimentel and Castillo sports centers were inaugurated simultaneously.

In this same province, eight mixed courts were delivered in Arenoso, Hostos, Villa Riva, Juan Pablo Duarte, Pimentel, El Abanico, La Garza and El Aguacate.

In addition, sports clothing was delivered to the athletes and on behalf of the community, Rafael Núñez thanked the support received from the government.

Subsequently, the president traveled to the Sánchez Ramírez province where he also inaugurated a sports center in Villa La Mata and simultaneously, the remodeling of the Cotuí sports center and the multipurpose center of the municipality of Cevicos.

Nine mixed basketball, volleyball and other sports courts were also renovated, in Cevicos, La Mata, La Bija, Platanal and Pueblo Nuevo.

The Minister of Sports, Francisco Camacho, expressed his satisfaction because these works “were promised by President Luis Abinader and today he returns to deliver them to the athletes, demonstrating with deeds that he is a man of compliance and his word.”

He also stressed that in the remainder of the year and throughout 2024, dozens of sports facilities will continue to be delivered

Rehabilitation of networks and lighting in Sánchez Ramírez

Similarly, President Abinader and the general manager of Edenorte, Andrés Cueto, inaugurated the rehabilitation of networks and lighting in various communities of Sánchez Ramírez for RD$143.71 million.

These will benefit 3,560 families who have waited for this project for years and who live in Plan Piloto, La Colonia, Los Pomos, La Gaveta, El Alto de la Batata, San Pablo Primero, El Hoyo de Tola and Villa La Mata.

1,157 posts, 1,019 lights, 63 transformers and 78 kilometers of medium and low voltage networks were used.

The governor for Duarte, Ana Xiomara Cortes; the senator, Franklin Romero Morillo; the director of INDRHI, Olmedo Caba; the Administrative Vice Minister of the Presidency, Igor Rodríguez and Sports Facilities, Johnny Peña.

Also for Sánchez Ramírez, Senator Ricardo de los Santos; Governor Cristiana Rodríguez; deputies Sadoky Duarte, Gerardo Concepción, Verónica Contreras; José Miguel Félix, president of the Villa la Mata Neighborhood Federation, and other officials.
