Premium and regular gasoline prices remain frozen

For the week of May 7 to 13, gasoline and diesel will continue to be frozen, while avtur and kerosene rose between RD$21.68 and RD$23.50.

Premium gasoline will continue to be sold at RD$293.60 per gallon, while regular gasoline will cost RD$274.50 per gallon.

While each gallon of regular diesel maintains its price at RD$221.60. In the same way, those with optimal diesel oil will remain at a cost of RD$241.10 per gallon.

On the other hand, the avtur presented an increase of RD$21.68 for a cost of RD$298.91 per gallon and the kerosene rose RD$23.50 to RD$338.10 per gallon.

Other fuels

The Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) RD$147.60 per gallon maintains its price. Likewise, natural gas remains unchanged with a cost of RD$28.97 per m3.

Fuel oil #6 maintains its price of RD$192.11 per gallon and fuel oil 1%S remains at RD$211.77 per gallon throughout the week.

The measure was announced by the deputy minister of internal trade, Ramón Pérez Fermín, who explained that the average oil price rose this week significantly.

As of Wednesday, April 27, the international price of WTI averaged US$105.09, for an increase of 3.4% compared to the average of the previous week, which amounted to US$101.62.

The deputy minister added that if the government did not maintain the subsidies, increases of up to 120 pesos per gallon would have been seen, as it would have corresponded to raise diesel; while premium gasoline had to increase more than 54 pesos per gallon, regular more than 62 pesos per gallon and in the case of LPG 12.80 pesos.

The average weekly exchange rate is RD$55.22 from the daily publications of the Central Bank.
