Preliminary results of the Turkish presidential election

Counting of votes in the run-off for the second phase of the presidential election in Turkey is underway, and President Tayyip Erdogan is ahead in the preliminary preliminary results.

66% of the ballot boxes have been opened in the run-off phase of Turkey’s presidential election, with President Erdogan leading the way.

According to the state-run Anadolu news agency, Tayyip Erdogan has received 54.8 percent of the vote so far, while his opposition rival, Kilic Daroglu, is in second place with 45.2 percent.

The news agency says that the voter turnout in the run-off phase has been 85.24 percent. Experts and analysts say that after more results are released, the difference in the results of the candidates will decrease.

President Erdogan has asked his voters and supporters to protect the ballot box.
