Preity Zinta Criticizes Bollywood Stars Silent on India-Pakistan Conflict Amid Tensions

Bollywood stars were divided over the India-Pakistan conflict, with some speaking out and others staying silent. Preity Zinta, known for her outspoken views, was asked by a fan on social media about her thoughts on those who remained quiet. The fan questioned why many Bollywood celebrities didn’t condemn the Pahalgam attack or support the Indian armed forces during Operation Sindoor. Preity, being the daughter of a soldier and coming from an army background, responded emotionally, saying she felt strongly about the issue because she’d seen the grit, sweat, blood, and tears of soldiers up close.

Preity Zinta’s Response

Preity tweeted, “I can’t speak for everyone else as people process things differently. Being a fauji kid and coming from an army background, these things hit close to my heart, so I’m very vocal about how I feel.” She added that sometimes she feels that soldiers’ families are stronger than the soldiers themselves because they have to cope with the loss.

The Human Cost of Conflict

Preity highlighted the human cost of the conflict, pointing out the mothers who sacrifice their sons, the wives who will never see their husbands smile again, and the children who will grow up without their parents’ guidance. “This is their reality, and it will never change despite others’ opinions,” she said, concluding with a prayer for the safety of all.

Preity Zinta’s Upcoming Projects

Preity is set to return to the big screen after a seven-year break with Rajkumar Santoshi’s film “Lahore 1947,” alongside Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, and Ali Fazal. The film is being produced by Aamir Khan.
