It’s been a month since Prateik Babbar and Priya Banerjee tied the knot, and the couple has finally given their fans a glimpse into their special day. The wedding video, which is a beautiful culmination of joyous moments, also pays a heartfelt tribute to Prateik’s late mother, Smita Patil. The couple exchanged vows on February 14, 2025, at Smita Patil’s Mumbai residence, Rock Cliff, in an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends. Notably, Prateik’s father, Raj Babbar, and his step-siblings, Arya Babbar and Juhi Babbar, were absent from the celebration.
In the wedding video, Prateik opens up about the choice of venue, sharing, “We had a dream about my mom. I think my mom told me that we should get married in the house we live in, the house that has been blessed by my mom and my grandparents.” He also delves into his deep connection with Priya, saying, “This isn’t the first time we’re getting married. This isn’t the first time we’ve met. This isn’t the first time… I’m hers, and we’re each other’s. This isn’t the first time.”
The couple’s wedding festivities included a pajama party and a mehndi ceremony. In one adorable moment, Priya blesses Prateik, saying, “Sada suhagan raho” (may you always be with your spouse), leaving the guests in stitches. She then asks him, “Are you ready to take care of me for the rest of your life?”

Marrying at Home to Honor His Mother
In an interview with Vogue India, Prateik shared the reason behind choosing his mother’s home for the wedding, saying, “We wanted a ‘home wedding’ and getting married here, to the love of my life, was the best way to honor her – the first home my mom bought, my home.” This is Prateik’s second marriage, as he was previously married to Sanya Sagar from 2019 to 2023.
