Long before he became a Bollywood favorite, Prasoon Joshi showed a spark for writing. He wrote his first book, “Main Aur Woh,” when he was just 17 years old. Talk about an early start! Interestingly, his formal education was quite diverse. He pursued a post-graduate degree in Physics, then went on to complete an MBA. His Bollywood Journey and Iconic Ad Lines
Prasoon Joshi jumped into Bollywood with Rajkumar Santoshi’s film ‘Lajja.’ From there, his success just kept growing. He wrote songs for many hit movies like ‘Hum Tum,’ ‘Rang De Basanti,’ ‘Taare Zameen Par,’ and ‘Delhi 6.’ But his creative touch isn’t limited to films. He’s also the mastermind behind some of the most memorable ad taglines. Think “Thanda Matlab Coca-Cola,” “Atithi Devo Bhava” (Guests are God), and the famous “Chloromint Kyun Khaate Hain? Prasoon’s influence goes beyond just writing. On August 11, 2017, he was appointed as the Chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification. He’s also known for his collaborations on important social causes. He teamed up with actor Aamir Khan to make 50 short films about malnutrition, following a request from India’s Prime Minister. Prasoon often says he and Aamir work well together because they both refuse to compromise on their work. He also played a key role in the Commonwealth Games 2010. He was part of a three-member Core Creative Advisory Committee, along with Shyam Benegal and Javed Akhtar, for the opening and closing ceremonies.
