Prabhas’s highly anticipated “Rebel Song” from his upcoming horror-comedy film, “The Raja Saab,” made its debut on Sunday. The launch event in Hyderabad, however, was marred by significant technical delays, leading to an apology from the filmmakers.
Fans gathered at the Vimal 70 MM Theatre in Hyderabad for the song’s premiere. The track was scheduled for release at 6:11 PM local time on November 23, 2025.
Technical issues caused a delay of several hours. The song finally appeared on the big screen around 9:00 PM.
Director Maruthi and Creative Producer SKN addressed the audience. They expressed regret for the extended wait, citing technical glitches as the reason. Prabhas himself was not present at the event.
The delay sparked frustration among the large crowd of waiting fans. Social media also reflected this discontent, with many expressing their annoyance.
One notable reaction came from “Prabhas Trends,” criticizing the production for the extensive delay. The tweet, dated November 23, 2025, questioned the competence of the creative producer.

SKN explained that the film is designed for a pan-India release. This required immediate fixes for technical problems in the Kannada and Malayalam versions. File corruption during the upload process also contributed to the setback.
He appealed to fans for patience, noting the team’s shared connection to the film. Director Maruthi reiterated the situation, thanking fans and apologizing for the inconvenience.
Despite the initial problems, the “Rebel Song” quickly gained traction. It accumulated over 1 million views within an hour of its availability.
The lyrical video features Prabhas in a playful and rebellious avatar, wearing various colorful outfits. Fans showed immense excitement for his energetic appearance.
Thaman composed the song. Sanjith Hegde and Blaaze provided vocals for the Telugu version, while Sachet Tandon sang the Hindi rendition. Kumar wrote the Hindi lyrics.
The track was simultaneously released in five languages: Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
“The Raja Saab” is directed by Maruthi and produced by People Media Factory and IV Entertainment. Filming for the project began in 2022.
The film’s official announcement came in January 2024. “The Raja Saab” is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 9.
Prabhas’s fans are eager for this film, anticipating it as a venture into a different genre for the star.
