Vishnu Manchu is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Kannappa. The movie boasts an impressive cast, including Prabhas and Mohanlal, and has a budget of over 200 crores. In a recent interview, Manchu revealed that Prabhas threatened to kill him over a payment issue.
Apparently, Prabhas and Mohanlal didn’t charge a single penny for their work in the film. Whenever Manchu brought up the topic of payment, they would scold him. Mohanlal even said that Manchu, who grew up around him, was now trying to pay him for his work. Prabhas took it a step further and threatened to kill Manchu if he didn’t stop offering him money.
Manchu’s Gratitude
Manchu expressed his gratitude towards Prabhas and Mohanlal, saying they helped him a lot with the film. He mentioned that Mohanlal, being the huge superstar that he is, didn’t need to take on a small role in the movie, but he agreed to do it for Manchu’s father. Manchu also revealed that Akshay Kumar took a significantly lower fee for his role in the film. The movie, Kannappa, tells the story of a devotee of Lord Shiva who gauges out his own eyes in devotion. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu, the film features an ensemble cast, including Mohanlal, Prabhas, Vishnu Manchu, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal.
