Prabhas’ Film The Raja Saab Release Delayed

Prabhas, the ‘Rebel Star’ of the Telugu film industry, has been making waves in the entertainment world since his breakthrough roles in ‘Baahubali’ (2015) and ‘Baahubali 2’ (2017). With a string of films like ‘Saaho’, ‘Radhe Shyam’, and ‘Adipurush’ under his belt, Prabhas has become a household name. His fans are eagerly awaiting his upcoming projects, including ‘The Raja Saab’, which was initially scheduled to release in 2025. However, the latest reports suggest that there might be a change in plans.

According to sources close to the film’s production team, director Maruthi’s horror-comedy ‘The Raja Saab’ may not hit theaters on the scheduled release date of April 10, 2025. Despite the director and production house, People Media Factory, remaining tight-lipped about the development, a source from the film’s unit revealed to Hindustan Times that the movie will not be released as planned. The film, which also stars Nidhi Aggarwal, Malvika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar alongside Prabhas, has been in the making for quite some time.

Is Prabhas the reason for the delay?

There were rumors that Prabhas’ ankle injury might be the cause of the delay, but sources have denied this claim. The actor is currently busy with his film ‘Fauji’, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. A source close to the project revealed, “Yes, it’s true that ‘The Raja Saab’ won’t release on April 10, but it’s not due to Prabhas’ health issues or other commitments.”

The source further explained that the film’s director, Maruthi, wants to ensure that the visual effects (VFX) in the movie are seamless and provide an enjoyable experience for the audience. “The movie has extensive VFX, and Maruthi wants it to look perfect. Although the new release date hasn’t been finalized, there are some good opportunities to release the film later this year. However, the announcement will be made only after they make significant progress with the pre-production work.”

Delays in shooting

It’s worth noting that ‘The Raja Saab’ has been facing delays since its inception in 2022. The COVID-19 pandemic also caused a slowdown in the film’s production, but the team had claimed to have completed around 80% of the shooting by last December.

Prabhas’ upcoming movies

Apart from ‘The Raja Saab’, Prabhas has several projects in the pipeline. He will be making a cameo appearance as Rudra in ‘Kanappaa’ and has ‘Salaar: Part 2’ in the works. The actor is also set to star in ‘Fauji’ in 2026 and has ‘Spirit’ lined up. Recently, there were reports that he might play the role of Bakasur in Prashant Verma’s new project ‘Baka’. With such an exciting slate of films, Prabhas’ fans are eagerly waiting to see what their favorite star has in store for them.

As the entertainment industry eagerly awaits the release of ‘The Raja Saab’, one thing is certain – Prabhas will continue to reign supreme as one of the most sought-after actors in Indian cinema. With his dedication to his craft and his ability to take on a wide range of roles, it’s no wonder that his fans are always excited to see what he does next.
