Portugal’s U17 World Champions Return for Presidential and FA Honors

Portugal’s Under-17 national football team is set to receive a hero’s welcome in Lisbon this Saturday, following their recent World Cup victory.

The champions will arrive in the Portuguese capital early Saturday afternoon. They will proceed directly to Belém for an official ceremony.

There, President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa will honor and decorate the team. The presidential reception is scheduled for 2:30 PM local time.

Following the ceremony, the victorious squad will travel to the National Football Headquarters. They will be transported in a specially decorated bus.

The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) will receive the team at Heroes’ Square. This event is expected to begin at 3:30 PM local time.

The FPF has invited all Portuguese citizens to join the celebrations. The federation aims to honor the team’s “tremendous campaign” under coach Bino Maçães.
