Portugal’s ‘Hidden’ Speed Camera Spots Revealed for October

Portuguese authorities are publicly disclosing the locations of mobile speed cameras for October 2025, offering drivers advance notice as part of a national road safety initiative.

The Public Security Police (PSP) routinely publishes these monthly schedules, detailing specific dates, times, and precise enforcement points across numerous districts. This proactive transparency is central to the agency’s mission to reduce traffic incidents.

Throughout October, enforcement operations are planned for 16 districts across the country, encompassing major metropolitan areas and regional routes.

In Lisbon, cameras will operate on the 25 de Abril Bridge on October 20 and along Avenida da Marginal in Cascais on October 24. Porto will see deployments in Santo Tirso on October 20 and Matosinhos on October 29.

Further south, Faro district has planned camera installations for multiple days in Tavira and Vila Real Santo António. Central regions like Aveiro and Coimbra also have listed enforcement dates, including on Avenida da Europa in Aveiro.

The PSP emphasizes that publicly sharing these locations is intended to encourage drivers to comply with speed limits, thereby enhancing overall road safety for all users.
