Portugal Women’s Cup Prize Fund Tops $1.3 Million

The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) is significantly increasing its investment in women’s football, allocating approximately $1.28 million USD in prize money for the 2025/26 Women’s Portuguese Cup, sponsored by Generali Tranquilidade. The substantial financial package aims to boost club participation and performance across the national competition.

The funds will be distributed among clubs competing in the cup’s six knockout rounds and the final match. This marks a notable commitment to enhancing the professional landscape of women’s football in Portugal.

The competition’s winner will receive a top prize of $85,600 USD. Prize money starts from the initial stages of the tournament.

Teams participating in the pre-qualifying round will each receive $2,675 USD. First-round participants are set to earn $4,280 USD.

Clubs advancing through subsequent stages will collect $5,350 USD, $6,420 USD, $8,560 USD, and $12,840 USD for the second, third, fourth, and fifth rounds, respectively. The announcement was made by the FPF on Friday.

Teams that reach the semi-finals will each be awarded $42,800 USD. The runner-up in the final match will also receive $42,800 USD.
