Freire explained his instructions during the game. “I asked for more aggressiveness from the squad,” he shared. He noticed a shift in the match after their first goal. Bulgaria seemed to lose their fighting spirit then. “From 1-0 onwards, Bulgaria simply gave in,” Freire noted. He was clearly happy with how his team managed the pressure.

He has showcased his quality with three goals in three games. But Freire quickly added that others also shone brightly. “Several players were above average, just like Mora,” he concluded.
