Portugal’s Under-19 women’s national football team has secured its place in the Elite Round of qualification for the 2026 UEFA European Championship, following a decisive 3-0 victory over Iceland.
The win confirmed their advancement to the second phase of the qualification tournament.
Cristina Fernandes scored two goals, with Carolina Tristão adding another, to seal the qualification for the “Equipa das Quinas,” a nickname for the Portuguese national team. The championship proper is scheduled to be held in Bosnia.

Portugal previously defeated Kosovo 2-1 in their opening match.
The team will now face Denmark, who are also undefeated, to determine the top finisher in Group A1.
