Earlier this week, the Portuguese Athletics Federation (FPA) made a big announcement. They shared the full list of young athletes chosen to compete at the European Under-20 Championships. This important event will take place in Tampere, Finland. Track and field fans can mark their calendars for August 7 to 10.
Portugal is sending a strong team to Finland. The delegation includes 29 talented athletes. There are 15 young men and 14 young women ready to show their skills. This group is one of the largest Portugal has ever sent to these championships. In fact, it’s the second biggest team in history. Only the 2017 squad that went to Grosseto was larger, with 31 athletes. This shows how much talent is coming up through the ranks.
