Portugal Police Reveal October Mobile Speed Camera Locations

Portuguese police are enhancing road safety by publicly disclosing the schedule and locations of mobile speed cameras across the country. The Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP) maintains this initiative to enforce speed limits and reduce traffic accidents.

This monthly practice provides drivers with advance notice of enforcement operations. The PSP aims to encourage compliance rather than simply issue fines.

The latest released schedule details operations until the end of October 2025. Cameras will be deployed in various districts throughout Portugal, operating at different times of the day and night.

For instance, in the southern Faro district, operations are planned for October 27, 29, 30, and 31. These include locations in Tavira and Vila Real de Santo António, with enforcement periods generally from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM local time.

Further north, the Porto district will see mobile cameras on October 27 and 29. Specific sites in Maia and Matosinhos are listed, with operations extending from early morning into the afternoon.

The capital region of Lisbon has a planned operation on October 30, scheduled between 8:00 PM and midnight. A mobile unit will target a segment of the EN 10 highway.

Other districts with scheduled operations include Aveiro, Beja, Braga, Castelo Branco, Guarda, Portalegre, Setúbal, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, and Viseu. Times typically range from morning until late afternoon, with some evening deployments.
