Portugal’s national padel team is gearing up for a major challenge. The Portuguese Padel Federation (FPP) just named the players for the FIP Euro Padel Cup – Final 8. This exciting tournament will take place in La Línea de la Concepción, Cádiz, Spain. Padel fans should mark their calendars for October 21-25, as some top-tier action is expected.
The goal for Portugal is clear: improve on their strong showing from last year. Both the men’s and women’s teams are aiming higher this time around. Leading the charge for the men are national coaches Gervásio Del Bono and Francisco Neves. For the women, João Barros and Leninha Medeiros will guide the squad. Portugal consistently proves itself among Europe’s best padel nations.
Last year, at the 2024 European Championship in Cagliari, Italy, the men’s team proudly secured a bronze medal. Not to be outdone, the women’s team also performed admirably, finishing in a respectable fourth place. These results set a high bar, but the current selections show a desire to push even further.
