The Portuguese women’s national team wrapped up their prep with a 59-37 win over Switzerland.
This was their last game before heading to the Czech Republic for the European Championship finals.
They beat the Swiss 97-63 on Thursday. Today, they dominated again at the Pavilhão Municipal José Natário.
Portugal was on top most of the time, except for a tied second period.
They finished with a 22-point lead.
The first period ended 18-13, with Portugal in control.
They solidified their win in the third period, 12-5, and made it even bigger in the last, 21-11.
Lavínia Silva stood out for Portugal with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Viktoria Ranisavljevic led the Swiss with 10 points and five rebounds.
Now, Portugal heads to the Eurobasket. Their first game is against European champ Belgium on June 19.
Then, they face the host team and Montenegro in Group C.
The European Championship is co-hosted by Greece, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Germany.
Sixteen teams are competing, including Switzerland, divided into four groups.
