Popular will offer educational workshops during the Economic and Financial Week

As part of its commitment to the financial education of the population, Banco Popular Dominicano will offer educational workshops for children and adolescents during the Economic and Financial Week of the Central Bank, which are part of the content offer of the Finance with Purpose Academy of the financial institution.

The workshops, which will be offered virtually, are accessible free of charge through the website www.eneef.do and will be taught by certified facilitators.

These contents of Popular’s financial education are adapted so that children and adolescents can reinforce their knowledge about personal finances, valuing the importance of saving and planned financial management from an early age.

Specifically, the first virtual workshop will take place on Monday, March 21 at 9:15 in the morning and is aimed at children between 9 and 12 years old, under the theme “The importance of saving”. It will be in charge of Laura Núñez, from the Didactics company.

The second of the workshops will be held on Wednesday, March 23, at 2:30 p.m., and will address the concept of “Finance with Purpose”, for adolescents between 13 and 17 years old. The facilitator Pamela Pichardo, from the company Edufinanzas, will impart the content.

Additionally, those interested in deepening family financial education can register and take the courses that are part of the Finance with Purpose Academy.

The Popular participates in the Economic and Financial Week since its first editionthus responding to its sustainable vision to achieve higher levels of financial education and inclusion in Dominican society.

In addition to the Finance with Purpose Academy, the financial entity promotes other financial education initiatives, with the aim of educating more than 150,000 Dominicans by the year 2030, thus fulfilling the commitments assumed after signing as a signatory partner of the Principles Responsible Banking of the United Nations.
