A Republican Guard officer was shot while riding his motorcycle on Camino Toledo Chico near Route 102 on Friday morning. At least one person tried to steal his motorcycle, sources said. The officer escaped, but the attacker fired at him. He wasn’t armed.
The officer drove to the 18th police station, about 10 miles away in Villa Don Bosco. From there, he was taken to the Police Hospital after reporting the incident.
Officer’s Condition
The officer was grazed by a bullet on his back, according to medical sources. He was treated for his injuries and released from the hospital on Friday morning. His condition is no longer life-threatening.
The police will take his statement in writing. The investigation is ongoing to identify the attacker and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
