Pole, victory and Torres lead one race from the end

More emotion impossible for the outcome of the third edition of the MotoE World Cup, the championship of electric motorcycles that in Misano hosts his last two appointments of the season and that in the first of them he has had Jordi Torres as a great winner. The current champion will not easily forget this magical Saturday in which he took pole, then won the victory and, incidentally, took the overall lead in a final test.

Everything turned upside down from the first corner to the ward of Sito Pons, because in the first corner I was out of combat Zaccone, until this race the leader of the general. The Italian went to the ground with Okubo and was transferred on a stretcher, but conscious, to the circuit clinic. From there, it was formed a trio in the lead in which axes of all colors were distributed between Aegerter, Torres and Granado, with Casadei in fourth place without being able to put a wheel to the three in front.

The one who looked the most fired up was Granado and in the last corner of the last lap he messed it up. In the penultimate, Torres had a failure that made him lose a few meters with the lead duo and it seemed that the third would be a good place for him, because Casadei was about to overtake him after the previous failure. Nevertheless, Granado gave the Spaniard an involuntary gift before crossing the finish line. The Brazilian tried a very forced overtaking on the Swiss in the last corner and, when he had already passed him, he lost the front wheel, fell and hindered the good line that Aegerter had, with which Torres was able to recover the lost ground and cross the finish in first position with 160 thousandths of advantage.

With this result, El Zorruno takes the lead with an 8-point advantage over an Aegerter which leads the SSP World Championship with 54 rental points that this weekend will be held in Montmeló together with the SBK. Zaccone is third overall at 17 points and Granado is fourth at 24. With these differences, Torres will be proclaimed two-time MotoE champion tomorrow finishing second should Aegerter win. The appointment will be at 15:30, again at the Marco Simoncelli, with the title at stake and with guaranteed emotion, because these electric motorcycles, although they do not make noise, are also capable of starring in authentic races like the one seen today in Misano.
