Pokémon TCG January Update: What’s in Store for Trainers Worldwide

Pokémon TCG Pocket is set to kick off 2025 with exciting new features and events. Following the success of the mobile collectible card game, The Pokémon Company has announced plans to launch new expansions and events.

The latest expansion, ‘The Singular Island’, has already made waves with its introduction of new cards featuring Mew, Celebi, and Serperior. However, fans can look forward to even more content in the coming weeks.

Pokémon TCG Pocket Calendar: Events, Trades, and New Expansion

The new year brings a host of events and activities for Pokémon TCG Pocket players. A new premium pass featuring Charizard has been released, along with New Year’s missions that offer special rewards from January 1 to 8.

Special promotional packs are also available, featuring unique illustrations of Snivy, Volcarona, Blastoise, Eevee, and Cinccino. A magical election event is set to take place from January 7 to 21, starring Charmander and Squirtle.

For fans of competitive play, a PVP event will run from January 20 to 29, challenging players to achieve five consecutive victories. A psychic event will follow from January 23 to 29, making it easier for players to obtain psychic-type Pokémon like Mew, Gardevoir, and Alakazam.

Additionally, celebration gifts will be available from January 20 to 30, featuring a special Pokédex card with Pikachu, Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle.

A New Expansion on the Horizon?

The first expansion, ‘The Singular Island’, was released in mid-December, introducing new cards and Pokémon to the game. Rumors are now circulating about a potential second expansion, which could be released as early as January 30. While no official confirmation has been made, fans are eagerly anticipating the announcement.
