Tadej Pogacar Reveals High-Tech TT Bike for Tour de France
Tadej Pogacar, the Slovenian cycling sensation, has been meticulously planning and refining his time trial setup for the Tour de France. The rider, obsessed with improving his performance against the clock, has collaborated with engineers from his team and Colnago to fine-tune his Colnago TT1 for 2024.
Record-Breaking Advancements
According to the team’s mechanics, the new Colnago TT1 has allowed Pogacar to shave off a remarkable 40 seconds from his time during the recent Giro d’Italia. This remarkable achievement is attributed to the frame’s significant weight reduction and enhanced aerodynamics.
Custom-Built Components
The Colnago TT1 frame boasts a Dura-Ace groupset featuring a single 60-tooth carbon chainring and a Dura-Ace 11-30 cassette at the rear. Furthermore, the bike is equipped with custom-made handlebar extensions developed by ENVE, designed to provide optimal support and comfort, enabling Pogacar to maintain a straight and aerodynamic position.
Lightweight and Aerodynamic Wheels
Pogacar rides a lenticular wheel behind the Aeox Ultra Orbit, which weighs an astonishing 980 grams and features tubeless wheels from Continental. At the front, he uses an ENVE wheel with a 100 mm profile, optimized for maximum aerodynamic efficiency.
A High-Tech Investment
The total cost of this exceptional setup exceeds 25,000 euros, highlighting the significant investment made by Pogacar to ensure he has the best equipment available to him as he vies for victory in the Tour de France.
