Smith announced

Complete series played after injury
Smith told Fox Cricket that I was injured at Lord’s. I don’t know when the injury happened, but it happened on the pitch. I found out about it that night. There was slight swelling in the wrist. He said that after that I played in the next game and that I had to have painkiller shots before the game at Old Trafford. When I got home I felt like I’m still not fit. I still can’t do a lot of things right. Smith said I had another scan that showed there was a slight fracture in the wrist.
The Australian team won the first two tests
Australia were on course to win their first Ashes series in England since 2001 after winning the opening two Tests. However, England ended the series with a spectacular comeback.
