The forcefulness was key for Platense. Emanuel Brítez made a mistake at the start and Tissera was attentive. The forward, in two times against Sebastián Moyano’s cover, opened the scoring. Lomónaco, who entered in the final minutes, increased the difference in the second dangerous approach, with a cross shot.

Union found the discount through a stopped ball. Goalkeeper Luis Ojeda blocked the header from Franco Calderón, and entered Juan Manuel García headed for the goal on the rebound.

The Santa Fe team had the ball throughout the game and it disturbed Platense at times, especially in the second stage. Spontón’s team relied on the experience of Hernán Lamberti and the safety of Ojeda in the goal.
