Google has started rolling out its spam call filtering feature in seven new countries in addition to the United States, Canada and Japan.
O Ads It came right after the Google Pixel 6 series was released this week. The functionality is now available in the UK, France, Germany, Australia, Ireland, Italy and Spain.
However, users in these countries can only access the manual version of the feature, not the automatic one.
This feature allows you to filter calls from unknown people and prevent spam calls.
When you receive a call from an unknown number, Google Assistant answers the call (automatically in USA, Canada and Japan and at the press of a button in all other countries) and ask about the reason for the call, displaying a real-time transcript of the conversation on the screen.
If you are not satisfied with the initial response, you can choose from a list of predefined questions to get more information from the caller before deciding to answer or hang up.
Currently, the most advanced version of the feature still does not appear in the mentioned countries, leaving users with limited capacity. This means they will have to press a button on their phone when they receive the call to start filtering.
It is currently unclear when the automatic feature will arrive in territories other than the United States, Japan and Canada.
