“The largest number of Google smartphones”: This is how Mountain View technology refers to the line of smartphones unveiled this Tuesday. Finally the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro were presented, and in this article I will tell you all about the most powerful equipment: the Pixel 6 Pro.
Let’s start from the outside, where we have a 6.7 ”inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1440 by 3120 pixels on the front. Thanks to LTPO technology, it has a variable refresh rate between 10 and 120Hz.
This is a panel that is curved on the sides, but protected by the best the industry has to offer. It has Gorilla Glass Victus protection, which can also be seen on the back of the terminal.
Google Pixel 6 Pro has three rear cameras that promise to surprise
This is where we also find their distinctive range of cameras. This is comprised of a 50MP main sensor on the left, a 12MP ultrawide sensor in the center, and a 48MP telephoto lens on the right, with access to 4X optical (and 20X digital) zoom. All cameras have optical and electronic image stabilization.
When it comes to cameras, the main sensor promises to capture 150% more light than before. You will also have various in-camera functions, such as the “Magic Eraser”, which allows you to erase unwanted objects / people from an image.
When it comes to video, you can count on recording up to 4K at 60 frames per second on the rear camera, or 4K at 30 frames per second on the front sensor. It also has HDR + for better colors in your videos.

Tensor Processor is Google’s big bet
The Tensor processor is one of the great novelties (perhaps the most important), but for now it is a mystery when it comes to performance. Google says this provides 80% more performance compared to the Snapdragon 765G, but we’ll have to wait for tests to make comparisons. Alongside it are 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128, 256, or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
At the battery level, Google seems to have finally opened its eyes. It has a capacity of 5003 mAh and 30 W of charge via USB-C. It is not the fastest on the market, but Google promises up to 50% juice in 30 minutes. It even charges at 23W wirelessly with the Pixel Stand or 12W with a third-party wireless charger. It also has reverse charge.
Of course, it has stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E and NFC. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the screen and the on / off and volume buttons are on the right edge.
Google Pixel 6 Pro will have 5 years of security updates
It has Android 12 out of the box, and most importantly, promises Google five years of security updates. That doesn’t mean you’re entitled to five major updates, but it’s good to know that your security will be guaranteed.
It will be sold in black, white and gold, but unfortunately only in eight countries where Portugal is not included. Germany, Australia, Canada, France, Japan, UK, Taiwan, and (obviously) the US are the countries covered. It arrives in Europe for € 899. Learn all about Pixel 6 in this article.
