Philippe Juvin was the guest of La Matinale de CNEWS this Wednesday. Interviewed by Laurence Ferrari, the LR mayor of La Garenne-Colombes (92), candidate for the nomination of the right, spoke about the increase in the price of fuel.

“Any increase in the price of fuel allows the state to reap profits. So the state must not take us for what we are not, ”he said.

“I believe that we need a simple, effective, rapid measure: lower taxes, for example VAT. It is nevertheless astounding to think that more than 60% of the price of fuel in fact, these are taxes, that is to say a revenue for the State ”, he declared.

The state is still struggling to find the miracle solution

Jean Castex must announce by Friday the aid that will be offered to the French to counter the rise in fuel prices. If the idea of ​​a check allocated to the most modest families is favored, other avenues are still on the table.
