Pfizer seeks approval from Japan for cod medicine

The US pharmaceutical company Pfizer on Friday applied to Japanese authorities for approval of an antiviral drug in its pill form to treat code 19.

If approved, Paxlwood would be the second most widely consumed drug available in the country.

Pfizer said last month that the results of medical tests showed that within three days of the onset of symptoms, when two to four patients at high risk of being infected with the Paxlwood coronavirus were given, they were admitted to the hospital. Or reduces the risk of death by 89%.

The company said laboratory tests also showed that the drug could reduce the spread of the variable type of omecron.

The Japanese government has agreed to receive 2 million doses of Paxlovid, and plans to begin delivering the drug in early February after testing its safety and efficacy.
