Yuri Lowenthal, the English voice actor behind Yosuke Hanamura in Persona 4 and Persona 4 Golden, just confirmed he won’t be reprising his role in the rumored remake. This news comes after a tweet from Gematsu suggesting Lowenthal had conversations with ATLUS about the potential remake.

Lowenthal shared the news on his BlueSky account, expressing his desire to return as Yosuke but confirming he wasn’t asked to. He’s not the only one, though – Erin Fitzgerald, the voice behind Chie Satonaka, also announced she won’t be reprising her role.
For those asking, I have not been asked to reprise my role as Chie Satonaka in the Persona 4 remake.
RIP ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
I am blessed to have recorded as many Persona 4 games as I did playing her.

Given the changes in voice actors, it seems like the Persona 4 remake might be on the horizon. When Persona 3 Reload was announced, the English voice cast was almost entirely new, with the Japanese cast remaining largely the same.
What we know so far
- Yuri Lowenthal and Erin Fitzgerald won’t be reprising their roles as Yosuke and Chie.
- ATLUS recently registered a new domain, P4RE.JP, which might be a sign of the remake’s upcoming announcement.
- The same thing happened before the announcement of Persona 3 Reload, with the domain P3R.JP being registered beforehand.
While nothing’s been officially confirmed, these signs point to a potential Persona 4 remake in the works. We’ll have to wait and see what ATLUS has in store for us.
