UFC 303: Alex Pereira Defends Light Heavyweight Title with Devastating KO of Jiri Prochazka
TO Just a few seconds had passed since the main event of UFC 303 began when Alex Pereira knocked out Jiri Prochazka with a high kick that shook the foundations of the entire Czech Republic.
The Brazilian, known as “Poatan,” UFC light heavyweight king, defended his belt for the second time after a short notice in which he and Prochazka “saved” the card following McGregor’s loss.
Pereira’s KO was a beautiful one, sending Prochazka to the canvas in the final second of the first round. This was not the first time Prochazka had been knocked down, as Pereira had already sent him to the ground with a striking blow earlier in the round. With this dominant performance, Pereira retains the title and sets his sights on new ambitions, potentially including a move up to the heavyweight division.
