Pellegrini’s Betis least scorer… and the least thrashed

Betis lost to Getafe, ensured their presence at least in the Conference League, said goodbye to their chances of reaching fifth position and will still have to certify their presence in the next Europa League. All this in a 0-1 defeat that confirmed that the current Betis is the least scorer since Pellegrini has been in charge of operations. But, also, the least thrashed.

The defeat against Getafe was the 13th game of the 36 games that have been played in which Betis was unable to score. This means that Betis has not scored in one of every three games that have been played to date. A fact that confirms the downward trend, since the last two seasons had celebrated more goals at this point.

A year ago, Betis had 60 goals for the 43 that it accumulates now. The previous one, there were 46 goals in favor. On the positive side of the scale is the fact that in Pellegrini’s two previous years on the local Benito Villamarín bench, more goals had also been conceded on this day.
