The New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Toronto Raptors 122-111 on Wednesday night at the Smoothie King Center. The matchup marked the first game back in New Orleans for Toronto forward Brandon Ingram since his trade away from the franchise.
Trey Murphy III scored 28 points to lead New Orleans. Dejounte Murray added 27 points for the Pelicans. The scoring output for Murray was his highest since returning from a torn Achilles.
Toronto dropped to seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings following the defeat.

The Pelicans organization played a tribute video honoring Ingram during the first quarter. Ingram spent six seasons in New Orleans before the February 2025 trade sent him to the Raptors.
Ingram scored 22 points in his return performance. The forward surpassed the 11,000 career point milestone during Wednesday’s sports schedule.
