Pedrosa joins the DAZN team

For months the idea of his signing was flying over the paddock of MotoGP and, finally, it is a reality. Dani Pedrosa becomes part of the DAZN team for the World Cup broadcasts, adopting a new role as a commentator on race weekends. Combining it with his work as a KTM test rider, the three-time champion will join Jorge Lorenzo, Álex Crivillé and Carlos Checa to continue improving the quality of the platform, with increasingly technical comments from those who know in depth what it feels like behind closed doors. With his incorporation there are already three MotoGP legends as part of the team.

“Throughout my career I have been able to compete against some of the best riders and see first-hand the sensations that are experienced on the motorcycle in a circuit. Now sharing microphones with legends like Jorge Lorenzo, Àlex Crivillé and Carlos Checa It represents an unparalleled opportunity to deepen the analysis of the championship and bring MotoGP closer to the fans through our experience”, Pedrosa explains in the statement confirming his signing. In addition, the platform will take advantage of the occasion to closely monitor Pedrosa in his preparation for wild card de Jerez, with the KTM team, on the track that has a curve in his name, giving fans special coverage of the Spaniard’s return to competition.

Hours after the announcement, Pedrosa went through the platform’s Twitch channel to comment on his signing as a commentator. The pilot admits that he begins this new stage with “excitement, which is the most important thing” and it has already been released by analyzing all the news that the Sepang tests have left: “It seemed that Ducati was doing very well. Aprilia also very good, maybe a bit below, but very close… And then we have to see if we are there (KTM) or Yamaha, which I think left some doubts.” However, there is a training session left and the cards will not be put on the table until the first date, on March 26 in Portimao.
