Pedro Figueiredo Co-Leads Dutch Golf Challenge Tour After Round Two

Pedro Figueiredo

Golfer Pedro Figueiredo from Portugal is currently tied for the lead at a tournament in the Netherlands. He finished his second round on Friday with an impressive score, shooting five strokes under par for the course. This strong showing put him right at the top of the leaderboard.

Figueiredo started the first day in 13th place, carding 69 shots, which was two strokes under par. But he really turned things up on the Spijk course during the second round. He posted a fantastic 66, thanks to seven birdies and only two bogeys. A birdie means two strokes under par on a hole, while a bogey means two strokes over.

His total score now stands at 135 strokes, seven under par overall. This puts Figueiredo in a shared first place with American golfer Palmer Jackson. They are both vying for the top spot in this event, which counts towards the Challenge Tour and continues until Sunday.

However, it wasn’t a good week for fellow Portuguese golfer Tomás Melo Gouveia. He unfortunately missed the cut in the Netherlands. Tomás ended up in 83rd position with a total of 145 strokes, three over par. He handed in a card of 72 for his second round, after finishing the first round on Thursday with 73 shots.
