Payal Ghosh Blasts Anurag Kashyap After Controversial Remarks on Brahmins in Bollywood

Controversy is brewing around film director Anurag Kashyap after he made disparaging remarks about Brahmins. The backlash is coming from all corners, including the film industry and the Brahmin Raksha Manch.

Actress Payal Ghosh has taken to Instagram to express her discontent. She posted a story saying Kashyap should stay away from Bollywood as the industry is happy without him. ‘If your deeds are bad, the outcome will be bad too,’ she added.

Criticism from all sides

The criticism against Kashyap is widespread, with many calling out his comments on social media. The Brahmin Raksha Manch held a press conference on Sunday, demanding a government ban on Kashyap’s upcoming film “Phule”. They accused him of insulting Brahmins through his film.

The group vowed to boycott “Phule” and teach Kashyap a lesson. ‘We won’t stay quiet. Our protest will continue until Anurag Kashyap learns his lesson,’ they said.

Support from fellow industry professionals

Lyricist Manoj Muntashir also condemned Kashyap’s remarks. In a video on Instagram, Muntashir warned Kashyap to control his words, especially when he lacks knowledge. ‘Your kind will be gone in no time, but Brahmins’ legacy will stay,’ he said. Muntashir advised Kashyap to be mindful of his actions.

A complaint has been filed against Kashyap at the Tilak Marg police station in Delhi over his derogatory comments about Brahmins.

Kashyap later apologized for his remarks on Friday. However, the damage seemed to have been done.
