Patricia Sampaio Remains Fourth in World Judo Ranking After European Title

Portuguese judoka Patrícia Sampaio remains fourth in the women’s -78 kg category with 5,555 points.
Her gold medal win in Podgorica earned her 800 more points.
She’s closing in on third-place Alice Bellandi, who has 5,795 points.
The current top two are Anna-Maria Wagner with 5,892 points and Inbar Lanir with 5,845 points.

Other Portuguese Judokas Move Up

Bárbara Timo jumped 45 spots to 102nd in the -70 kg category.
She now has 128 points.
To compete in the Budapest World Championships, judokas must be in the top 100.
Taís Pina is 15th, and Joana Crisóstomo dropped to 64th.

Women’s Rankings See Changes

Catarina Costa stayed ninth in the -48 kg category.
She now has 3,696 points after being runner-up.
Raquel Brito moved up 55 spots to 116th in the -52 kg category.

Men’s Rankings Updated

Jorge Fonseca is still ninth in the -100 kg category.
He was eliminated in his second match in Podgorica.
Miguel Gago climbed 14 spots to 90th in the -66 kg category.
Otari Kvantidze moved up one spot to 50th in the -73 kg category.
João Fernando dropped four spots to 41st in the -81 kg category after losing his first match.
