Just before the Ashes series, Cricket Australia announced their new captain. Fast pitcher Pat Cummins has been named the new team captain. Cummins has become Australia’s 47th captain. At the same time, Steve Smith, a former team captain, has been named vice-captain.

Cummins has played 34 games for Australia so far. During this, he has taken a total of 164 plots at an economy rate of 2.75. Apart from this, he has also played for Australia in 69 ODIs and 34 T20 Internationals in cue ball cricket. Cummins has so far taken 111 lots in ODI and 42 lots in T20.

We tell you that before Cummins, Tim Paine was the captain of Australia, but recently announced that he would be leaving the captaincy of the team. In fact, at a press conference, Penn admitted that he had sent obscene messages to a worker at the Tasmanian cricket.
