Pass’Sport 2021-2022: who will be able to benefit from this financial assistance of 50 euros?

Launched last May by the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron, the Pass’Sport will be available at the start of the school year. A financial boost of 50 euros, which should allow young people to access sports more easily. Who will benefit from it?

Announced by Emmanuel Macron, the Pass’Sport should make it possible to kill two birds with one stone: facilitate minors’ access to sport and support clubs very affected by the health crisis. A budget of 100 million euros was allocated to this project last November.

Who will benefit from it?

The Pass’Sport is aimed at children aged 6 to 17 years old until June 30, 2021 (until the eve of their 18th birthday), already benefiting from social assistance. Children who already benefit from the back-to-school allowance, the education allowance for disabled children or the allowance for disabled adults (between 16 and 18 years old) are therefore concerned.

According to the Ministry of Sports, up to 5.4 million young people are eligible for Pass’Sport. Concretely, approximately 3.3 million families will pay 50 euros less per child for the purchase of a license or a membership in a sports club.

Where can we use it?

Note that the Pass’Sport can only be used with voluntary associations affiliated with a sports federation or with all approved sports associations participating in the system (affiliated or not to a sports federation) in all Priority Districts of the City ( QPV) or in areas labeled “Educational cities”

Who will receive this aid of 50 euros?

Contrary to what one might think, it is not the family that receives this financial boost but the sports club in which the child will be affiliated. According to the Ministry in charge of Sports, aid is in fact granted to the sports association which will have previously “made an equivalent reduction in the cost of membership and / or the license”.
