Passenger bus fell into pond in Bangladesh, 17 people died

Dhaka: 17 people, including three children, were killed and 35 injured when a bus fell into a pond in Bangladesh.

According to the report of a foreign news agency, this incident happened yesterday where a bus full of passengers fell into a pond in Chhatrakunda area of ​​Jhalakthi Sadar district.

The surviving passengers blamed the driver’s carelessness for the accident.

Passengers say that the bus had a seating capacity of 52 people while more than 60 passengers were seated in it.

The bus had left Bhandaria in Perujpur around 9 am and fell into a roadside pond at Chhatrakunda on Barishal, Khulna highway around 10 am.

A passenger named Mohammad Momin says that when I boarded it was full of passengers and some people were also standing at the door.

The passenger said that people were trapped inside the bus and somehow managed to get out.

Barishal Divisional Commissioner Muhammad Shaukat Ali confirmed the death of 17 people in the accident and said that the injured have been shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.
