Passenger bus crashes in Bolivia

A minibus has crashed in the South American country of Bolivia, killing 23 people, including three children.

According to local police, the ill-fated bus was carrying 33 passengers from Morochata to Coalcolo when it fell 400 meters down a mountain in Chabamba state.

Bolivian local radio has claimed that the area where the accident took place is a very narrow passageway, and it is feared that the minibus may have tried to avoid another vehicle that caused the accident.

The injured driver of the unfortunate minibus said that he tried to apply the brakes before the accident but the brakes did not work. Due to this accident, my wife was separated from me while I was also seriously injured. An investigation has been launched to find out the motives.

Roads in the South American country of Bolivia are in a state of disrepair, the third bus crash in a year, with 20 people killed in a similar incident in March this year, compared to 19 last September. ۔
