Panteras Negras FC Honors 7-Year-Old Dinis After Tragic Training Death

A regional Portuguese football club paid tribute to a seven-year-old boy who died during a training session last September, presenting his family with a commemorative jersey.

Panteras Negras FC honored Dinis and his parents during halftime of their weekend match against Gatões. The game was part of the Série 5 of the AF Porto First Division, a regional league considered Portugal’s fifth tier.

The club presented Dinis’s parents with a checkered jersey bearing the number 28. This was the number the boy wore when playing for Boavista FC’s Under-8 team.
