Pankaj Dheer’s Son Nikitin’s Emotional Tribute: ‘Lost My Guru, Best Friend’

Nikitin Dheer has shared an emotional post, ten days after the passing of renowned actor Pankaj Dheer. He wrote a lengthy, heartfelt note in tribute to his father.

Veteran actor Pankaj Dheer, known for his iconic role as Karna in “Mahabharat,” passed away on October 15 at the age of 68. Nikitin’s recent post marks his first public statement since his father’s death.

In his emotional message, Nikitin referred to his late father as his best friend. He shared a video on Instagram that included images of him immersing his father’s ashes. The video also featured several old photographs of Pankaj Dheer.

Nikitin expressed profound gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from fans and celebrities. He wrote about attempting to control his emotions, reflecting on the certainty of death in life.

He shared, “On October 15, I lost my father, my guru, my best friend, Pankaj Dheer. He had not been well for some time; it broke us as a family.”

Nikitin further wrote that he is prouder than ever to be his father’s son. He described Pankaj Dheer as the best father.

Pankaj Dheer taught Nikitin patience, character, loyalty, and perseverance. He also taught his son how to pursue dreams even when the world doubts. Nikitin concluded that his father will remain a guiding star for as long as he lives.

Nikitin Dheer and his family performed the ashes immersion for his late father at the Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh. This was done under the guidance of Swami Chidanand Shastri, where they also prayed for peace. Nikitin concluded his note by expressing gratitude to Swami Chidanand.
