Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs released the official 2026 Hajj flight schedule late Wednesday. The massive aviation operation to transport tens of thousands of state-sponsored pilgrims to Saudi Arabia will officially begin on April 18.
The annual Islamic pilgrimage necessitates immense logistical coordination between Islamabad and Riyadh. Authorities must strictly manage terminal traffic to prevent bottlenecks at primary airports ahead of the core rituals projected to commence around May 24. A total of 468 dedicated flights will execute the government scheme.
Islamabad handles the largest routing volume with 129 scheduled departures. Karachi will operate 124 flights. Lahore follows closely with 104 departures. The remaining passenger load is distributed across five regional aviation hubs.
Multan secured 39 flights. Sialkot has 26. Faisalabad operates 23. Quetta and Sukkur round out the national manifest with 18 and 5 flights respectively.
Intending pilgrims are required to verify their specific travel itineraries digitally. The ministry explicitly directed all travelers to the Pak Hajj 2026 App and the official government web portal to confirm their departure times.
The mandated digital verification system aims to stagger airport arrivals and reduce processing delays across the country. Private tour allocations operate entirely independently of these 468 government-scheme flights.
