Pakistan News: At least 20 people were killed in a collision between a passenger bus and an oil tanker in Pakistan’s Punjab on Tuesday. Rescue personnel gave this information. This is the second major road accident in the province in three days. Police said the incident took place on a ‘motor-way’ in Multan, about 350 km from Lahore. A spokesman for the emergency service ‘Rescue 1122’ said, “20 people were killed in a collision between a Lahore-Karachi bus and an oil tanker. After the collision, the bus caught fire, due to which the passengers were caught in the fire. His condition is said to be serious. He said, “The bodies of some of the people who lost their lives in the accident were completely charred and their identity is yet to be ascertained. Their bodies will be handed over to the family for DNA test.

Both the vehicles caught fire after the accident

After the accident, both the vehicles came under fire, causing a lot of trouble for the rescue and fire brigade teams in carrying out the rescue operation, he said. Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi expressed grief over the accident and directed the concerned health authorities to provide better treatment to the injured. He has also asked the administration to help the families of those who lost their lives in the accident, in identifying the dead.

A painful road accident happened even three days ago

At least 13 people were killed in a collision between a truck and a bus in Pakistan’s Punjab province on Saturday. Officials had said that rain water had accumulated on the road where the accident took place. “After the accident, the bus got buried under a pile of sugarcane and it took a long time for the rescue team to take the injured to the hospital,” the statement said.
