Pakistan Founder Jinnah’s Great-Granddaughter Ella Wadia Debuts at Le Bal Paris

Le Bal des Débutantes, commonly known as Le Bal, is an annual fashion event held in Paris each November. It showcases daughters from some of the world’s most distinguished and royal families. The event connects high fashion with long-standing tradition and prestige.

Wadia represents a prominent Indian business family, the Wadia Group. Her father, Jahangir Wadia, has connections to companies like Bombay Dyeing, Bombay Realty, and Go First. Her mother, Celina Wadia, is a well-known fashion designer.

Her connection to Jinnah stems from his only child, Dina Jinnah. Dina married Neville Wadia, a Parsi businessman from Mumbai, against her father’s wishes. She chose to reside in India after the partition.

Their son, Nusli Wadia, currently chairs the Wadia Group. Nusli Wadia has two sons: Ness Wadia and Jahangir Wadia. Jahangir Wadia is Ella’s father, making her Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s great-granddaughter.
