Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan has become the world’s first male hitter to score 2,000 runs in a calendar year. He accomplished the feat in the eleventh second while chasing the target during the third and final T20I match against the West Indies in Karachi. In this match, Pakistan won by seven wickets.
Chasing a 208-run goal, Pakistan won the game by losing three wickets in 18.5 overs as Rizwan played a stormy inning of 87 runs on 45 balls. Rizwan hit 10 fours and three sixes in his innings.
Rizwan’s first teammate, Babar Azam, also performed brilliantly, scoring 79 runs on 53 balls. He also hit nine fours and two sixes. Babar and Rizwan shared a 158-race partnership for the first wicket. In this way, Pakistan made a clean sweep of the West Indies 3-0 in the 3-game T20I series.
