The playoffs for the Free Fire World Series are just around the corner, and the group stage is wrapping up. On Saturday, something unexpected happened in the biggest national Free Fire Mobile tournament.
The paiN Gaming team made a surprising move by having their manager, paiN Sbriça, play in place of Paulo “PETERxl” Roberto in the last map, Solara. No reasons were given for the substitution.
With the manager on the team, they won the last Booyah of the competition. Since they don’t play on Sunday, this win was crucial, especially with double points on the line. They’re currently in fifth place in the group stage.
Twist in the Tournament
The team’s unusual decision paid off, and they’re still in the running. ThepaiN Gaming team isn’t the only one making waves, though. Fluxo (FX) had a great day, with three wins, and they’ve secured a spot in the Esports World Cup (EWC).
